Our organization

Pro.M.E.T.EU.S., a non-profit cultural association based in central Italy, Viterbo, is driven by a commitment to fostering a world that is more interconnected and inclusive. With its under-35 founders experienced in international and European exchanges, the organization operates without ethnic, ideological, or confessional distinctions. Rooted in the principles of equality, human rights, rule of law, and democracy, Pro.M.E.T.EU.S. upholds a multifaceted mission geared towards catalyzing social and cultural growth.
Our objectives extend to aiding individuals, especially youth and adults, in realizing their potential and ambitions. This is crucial for human, personal, and professional development, allowing them to effectively engage in modern society. To achieve these goals, Pro.M.E.T.EU.S. engages in a range of activities including project design, coordination, research, study, training, and organizing cultural events and training courses at local, regional, national, and European levels.

Our aims

Our primary aim is to nurture environmental sustainability and active participation in democratic processes. We place a significant emphasis on respecting diversity and cultivating artistic and entrepreneurial talents. This endeavor encompasses a broad spectrum of culture, including the preservation and understanding of local, regional, and European traditions.

At the core of Pro.M.E.T.EU.S.’s philosophy are two core beliefs. Firstly, in our increasingly interconnected world, collaboration is key. We believe in forging networks across Europe to address social and economic challenges. Secondly, we recognize that true integration of diverse cultures requires a deep appreciation and understanding of one’s own culture and traditions. In line with this belief, we actively encourage the exchange of various European cultures, beginning with the rediscovery of local ones.

Furthermore, we are dedicated to disseminating information about initiatives and opportunities promoted by the European Union. This is part of our effort to foster political unity, economic and social development, and cooperation among member states.

Our key activities

Research and study: Engaging in research and study activities, we aim to contribute to the field of education and cultural development, providing valuable insights and innovations.

Quality assessment: Leveraging our expertise, Pro.M.E.T.EU.S. has become a Quality Assessment Assurer for Erasmus+ projects, ensuring that these initiatives meet high standards of quality and innovation.

Project design and Coordination: Pro.M.E.T.EU.S. is involved in the design, coordination, and implementation of various projects, including those under Erasmus+. We focus on creating high-quality educational experiences that are transformative and tailored to the needs of our target groups.

Networking and Collaborations: We believe in the power of collaboration and networking, particularly in a world that is increasingly interconnected. Our association actively works to create networks across Europe to address social and economic challenges.

Internationalization: Our efforts in internationalization have been significant, we promote individual mobility into our community thanks to exchanges and internships abroad. We promote it also through international collaboration projects.

Environmental Initiatives: Emphasizing the importance of sustainability, we organize educational workshops and events to raise awareness about environmental care and the importance of sustainable practices.

Inclusion and Diversity: We focus on inclusion, offering accessible learning and development pathways for all, regardless of socio-economic or cultural backgrounds. This includes integrating young people with mild physical or intellectual disabilities and those at risk of marginalization.

Digital Literacy: Nowadays challenges are digital, we deliver accessible learning tools and organize workshops to different target profiles, from youngsters to elders, to keep them informed on the use of digital tools and enhancing digital skills.

Information and Awareness Campaigns: A significant part of our work involves raising awareness and disseminating information about initiatives and opportunities promoted by the European Union. This helps in fostering political unity, economic, and social development among member states.

Cultural Events and Training Courses: Our association organizes cultural activities, events, and training courses at local, regional, national, and European levels. These activities are designed to enhance cultural awareness and appreciation among participants.
